Meghan Markle's former school principal shares note Duchess wrote to fellow student

Meghan Markle's former school principal has shared a note reportedly written by the Duchess to a "very shy" classmate in 1993.

Christine Knudsen, who worked at the school during Markle's time there, shared the note as part of a Channel 5 documentary on the Duchess.

The sweet letter addressed to 'Michelle' was written by Markle, then a young girl, to help the fellow student during her time at Immaculate Heart High School in California.

The letter reads, "Dear Michelle, You are so strong and wonderful -- your courage in strength in times of hardship is as admirable as your optimism and friendly nature.

"I am so lucky to have you in my group and to be able to lead you on this adventure.

"Never stop sharing your beautiful spirit and always remember how special you are."

The Duchess ended the letter by saying, "I am here if you ever need me. I love you, Meghan."

Knudsen said the note was written by the Duchess to Michelle who was very shy and "a bit of a loner."

On the documentary, Knudsen said, "Meghan wrote her the most wonderful loving note. Even though Meghan was not her close friend at all.

"It just shows the depth of [Markle's] heart."

The Duchess' heart has been on display for the world to see since her marriage to Prince Harry, 33, earlier this year on May 19.

It is thought Markle, 36, will focus on educating girls around the world as well as gender equality, as well as the LGBTQI community of which she has been a long-time supporter.
