The non-royal royal tour of Australia by Prince Harry and his wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, might be over, but it is still managing to make headlines.

Despite leaving Australia more than two weeks ago, a new video of Meghan during the trip was released overnight and shows the Duchess in a new light.

Meghan, 44, managed to squeeze in an audience with YouTube and social media stars Sean and Marley when she agreed to sample some iconic Aussie beer.

The duo, who each has Down Syndrome, has more than one million followers on YouTube and Instagram, where they love to cook together.

But the newest video is going viral, thanks to their light-hearted rapport with the Duchess, who is known for her own lifestyle show on Netflix.

It is one of her many hats, and now she can add "Aussie beer connoisseur" to her bio after sampling both Toohey's New and Victoria Bitter.

"Welcome to Australia, Meghan," the hosts began.

After telling Meghan they had a surprise for her, they pulled out a can of Tooheys New.

The Duchess admitted she had never had the particular brand, before offering to taste the "classic Australian pour" – despite noticing it wasn't cold.

After setting the can down, she turned around to see they had another beer waiting for her – a VB.

After asking if this one was their favourites, she said she would "have to try this one too".

"Victoria Bitter, OK," she said, before taking a swig.

The gift haul included some soft toys from the hit TV show Bluey, which the Duchess said her kids love, some Minties, which Meghan said are both her and her mother's favourite sweet treat, child-size Rabbitohs and Panthers jerseys, a can of chicken salt and sunscreen.

But perhaps the biggest hit was the Aussie Bum swimming briefs she was gifted for Prince Harry.

After correctly recalling that swimming briefs were known colloquially as "budgie smugglers", the Duchess joked Harry might wear them when they renew their wedding vows.

The YouTube video with the boys was filmed during Prince Harry and Meghan's whirlwind trip to Australia in April.

They spent time in Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney during the trip, with a mix of charity events, an appearance on MasterChef and more over the four days.
