Meghan Markle quietly ends Netflix partnership: 'Ready to stand on its own'
Meghan Markle's lifestyle brand As ever is officially moving forward without Netflix, just one year after the streaming giant helped launch the venture.
The Duchess of Sussex debuted the brand with the platform's investment, unveiling it alongside her lifestyle series With Love, Meghan, which offered viewers a glimpse into her cooking, entertaining and home life.
The collaboration has now come to an end, with representatives confirming that As ever will continue independently.

A spokesperson for the brand said, "As ever is grateful for Netflix's partnership through launch and our first year. We have experienced meaningful and rapid growth and As ever is now ready to stand on its own. We have an exciting year ahead and can't wait to share more."
The streaming giant also confirmed the split, telling People: "Meghan's passion for elevating everyday moments in beautiful yet simple ways inspired the creation of the As ever brand and we are glad to have played a role in bringing that vision to life."

"As it was always intended, Meghan will continue growing the brand and take it into its next chapter independently and we look forward to celebrating how she continues to bring joy to households around the world," the Netflix spokesperson added.
As ever launched last year with a range of home and pantry products, including fruit spreads, honey and edible flower sprinkles. The collection quickly sold out and, since then, has expanded to include items such as candles, wine and other lifestyle accessories.
While Netflix is stepping back from the brand, Meghan and Harry are still expected to continue working with the streaming giant through their production company, Archewell Productions.
The pair first signed a lucrative deal with Netflix in 2020 after stepping back from royal duties, with the agreement widely reported to be worth more than $US100 million ($150 million).
During the collaboration, their projects have included the hugely popular documentary series Harry & Meghan, as well as Heart of Invictus and Prince Harry's documentary Polo.
More recently, The Duchess's lifestyle series With Love, Meghan aired two seasons along with a holiday special.

As of August last year, the collaboration appeared to be going well, with Meghan saying in a statement: "We're proud to extend our partnership with Netflix and expand our work together to include the As ever brand."
"My husband and I feel inspired by our partners who work closely with us and our Archewell Productions team to create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally and celebrates our shared vision."
An adaptation of Jasmine Guillory's The Wedding Date is also said to still be in the works, despite reports suggesting it had been shelved.
