It's been 24 hours since the world got its first glimpse of the first product from Meghan Markle's new lifestyle brand, but everyone missed one glaringly obvious detail on the packaging.

In fact, it seems that we've been overlooking this detail since the Duchess of Sussex first launched the brand three weeks ago.

Yesterday, the first photos emerged of jars of jam Meghan sent out to A-list friends from her new brand American Riviera Orchard.

The glass jars featured a large sticker on the front bearing the brand's name in elegant gold font - but if you assumed some graphic designer put it together, you'd be wrong.

It turns out that Meghan herself is responsible for the brand's logo, per People.

It shouldn't come as a surprise, given the actress-turned-royal used to work as a calligrapher, before her career really took off.

Between 2004 and 2005, Meghan worked at the Paper Source store in Beverly Hills teaching calligraphy, gift-wrapping and book-binding.

"It was her part-time job as she was going through auditions," Paper Source CEO Winnie Park told People.

"She taught calligraphy and hosted a group of customers and instructed them during a two-hour class on how to do calligraphy."

The royal also offered freelance calligraphy services and even landed herself a few celebrity clients, most notably Robin Thicke and wife Paula Patton.

Meghan famously wrote the invitations for their 2005 wedding after meeting Patton at Paper Source.

It wasn't just a job to her either; Meghan had a real passion for penmanship, writing on her old lifestyle blog, The Tig, that "handwritten notes are a lost art form".

"The idea of someone taking the time to put pen to paper is really special," she added.

When Larry King asked where her interest in calligraphy came from during a 2013 interview, Meghan told him: "I went to an all-girls Catholic high school, handwriting class was one of those lost arts."

The then-actress even agreed to show off her skills in the middle of their chat, penning him an elegant missive with a Sharpie and a scrap of paper.

Though Meghan put her pen down and stopped working as a calligrapher over 10 years ago, she clearly hasn't lost her skills with paper and ink.
