The Duchess of Sussex appears to have made changes to her engagement ring, adding more diamonds to the band.

Meghan's redesigned engagement ring was on show at Trooping the Colour, along with a new eternity band.

The eternity band is believed to be a gift from husband Prince Harry, to celebrate their one year wedding anniversary and birth of baby Archie.

Meghan's engagement ring appears to have undergone slight modifications, including adding pave diamonds to the yellow gold band.

The band itself also looks thinner; perhaps it has been shaved down to match sit in better with her eternity ring and Welsh gold wedding band.

The new additions complement the ring, which features a centre stone from Botswana – where Harry and Meghan first holidayed together during soon after meeting. The two side stones are from the personal jewellery collection of Princess Diana.

Harry designed the ring, even choosing the centre stone with the help of royal jewellers Cleave & Company. It was set in yellow gold, Meghan's favourite metal.

Meghan's upgraded engagement ring was first worn, publicly, when she and Harry showed off Archie Harrison to the world at Windsor Castle on May 8.

But everyone was too focused on the new royal baby to notice Meghan's ring, which was kept hidden during most of the photo call.

And when she appeared at Trooping the Colour in June, the attention turned to her new eternity band.

It does seem as though Meghan has redesigned her engagement ring; perhaps done at the same time as getting it resized. The ring was missing from Meghan's hand during her final two public engagements before the birth of Archie, most likely due to swelling – a common condition during pregnancy. It's highly likely Meghan had the ring either sized up or done to accommodate her changing fingers, and decided to add a bit of extra sparkle.

And considering how much Meghan loves her jewellery, this is no surprise.
