Meghan Markle set to 'give birth at same hospital as Kate Middleton'

With the countdown to Baby Sussex's arrival well and truly on now, all eyes are on which hospital Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will welcome their first child at.

There has been plenty of speculation as to which of three prominent hospitals The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will choose for the Royal Baby's birth.

Now, Page Six are reporting they have on good authority Meghan Markle will give birth in The Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in London.

This would be the same hospital Kate Middleton and Prince William welcomed all three of their children - Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

It's also where the new dad, Prince Harry, was born.

"I would be hugely surprised if Meghan didn’t give birth at the Lindo wing.

"It has the security and the resources needed for a royal birth," the unnamed royal source tells the publication.

It's previously been reported that staff in the private maternity ward were asked not to take leave in April, which is when Meghan is due.

Despite a number of reports, no official word has been released by Buckingham Palace regarding the expected due date or place of Baby Sussex's arrival.

Meghan has previously told royal fans she is expecting the bub around the end of April.

And Prince Harry hinted just this week, that his wife is now officially on maternity leave.

It was originally thought the Duchess of Sussex will go a different way to sister-in-law Kate Middleton and opt for a hospital closer to their new Windsor home of Frogmore Cottage.

The third hospital in the mix is London's The Portland Hospital, an American-owned hospital where Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York welcomed Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie in the '80s.

However, the biggest sign as to where the next Royal Baby will be born could all be just that - a sign.

Whichever hospital Harry and Meghan choose, they will most likely post parking restrictions around the hospital around two weeks before of the due date.

Surrounding St Mary's Hospital ahead of Prince Louis's birth last year, parking restrictions went up approximately 14 days earlier, on April 9, sending media and the public into 'Royal Baby Watch'.

Signs similarly went up ahead of Prince George and Princess Charlotte's births in 2013 and 2015 respectively.
