A royal singer-songwriter: Lady Gabriella Windsor is releasing music

Plenty of British royal family members have artistic talents — and it seems Lady Gabriella Windsor is one of them.

The daughter of Prince Michael of Kent, a cousin of Queen Elizabeth, has dipped her toe into the world of music, writing and recording a digital collection of songs.

Speaking with Hello! magazine in an exclusive, Lady Gabriella explains she has "always loved music" but never imagined she would release her own.

Two of her tracks have been released online from this week, with the aim of raising awareness and funds for the non-profit Playing for Change Foundation.

The songs, titled 'Out of the Blue' and 'Bam Bam', are available on platforms including Spotify and iTunes. Lady Gabriella has used the name Ella Windsor for recording.

Lady Gabriella's musical ability may come as a surprise to royal fans, but she actually showed off her vocal skills during her wedding reception last year.

The royal bride, who wed financier Thomas Kingston at Windsor Castle on May 18, 2019, hopped up on stage to sing with the band.

"It was late and I'm not sure I sounded my best but one of the singers added some backing, so I hope that made it better," she tells Hello!.
