Distinctly Aussie food Adam Liaw plans to feed King Charles on his visit Down Under
Adam Liaw has opened up about his upcoming rendezvous with King Charles when the monarch visits Down Under this week.
Liaw will be presenting the private barbecue for the monarchs, held in Parramatta and attended by volunteers and community, multicultural, political and sporting leaders.
On the Today Show, the 46-year-old shared the realisation that dawned on him in preparation for the royal visit.

"It dawned on me that I've never seen him eat," he shared on air.
"I think it's like politician rules where they don't like to eat. I've never seen him eat anything in all the years I've been seeing him in pictures ... and so my goal is to see the King eat a snack."
As for what the snack will be, he says he wants to see the King eat a classically Aussie democracy sausage. But it has to be made in a specific way.
"I put the onions underneath," the celebrity chef shared his controversial opinion, "and I actually put the sauce underneath as well, because I have a moustache."
In addition to the sausage sizzle, the barbecue will also feature many multicultural foods at "street stalls" to display the diversity of Western Sydney.
The royals will be making their way to Australia this Friday, October 18 and will be partaking in a number of events, including spending time on Sydney Harbour for a Fleet Review of the Royal Australian Navy, along with a visit to the Opera House.
The King will undertake several engagements relating to cancer including a meeting with Australians of the Year Prof Georgina Long and Prof Richard Scolyer, who were recognised for their pivotal work on melanoma, one of Australia's most common cancers.

They will also be visiting Canberra before returning to Sydney and later departing for Samoa on Wednesday, October 23.
This marks the King's first visit as sovereign and head of state, and His Majesty's first to a Commonwealth country as head of the organisation created by his late mother.
