King Charles III isn't set to move into Buckingham Palace just yet.
Having officially been proclaimed king, just days after the death of his "beloved mama", Queen Elizabeth, it's understood the new monarch will wait another five years before officially calling it his main residence.
The reservicing of Buckingham Palace is a 10-year, £369 million ($714 million) refurbishment project that involves updating the heating, plumbing and electrical cabling.

It's understood the works will be completed in 2027.
In the meantime, His Majesty will remain at Clarence House while using Buckingham Palace reserved for his official duties.
Buckingham Palace is considered the official home of the British monarch and it's been that way since 1837.
Queen Elizabeth was said to have been forced to move there from nearby Clarence House when she took to the throne in 1952, preferring to live in her nearby home of Clarence House.

"None of them wanted to go. They loved Clarence House; it was a family home, but Winston Churchill, who was then Prime Minister, insisted upon it," royal biographer Penny Junor wrote in her book The Firm.
Clarence House was where then-Princess Elizabeth lived with husband Prince Philip and their children Prince Charles and Princess Anne.
Now, King Charles III faces a similar dilemma as he is the one currently occupying Clarence House with wife Camilla, Queen Consort, having moved in back in 2003, following the Queen Mother's death in 2002.

It's understood the plan is for the monarch to move to Buckingham Palace but perhaps not just yet, as the major renovations take place.
King Charles is "firmly of the view that it's the visible symbol of the monarchy in the nation's capital and therefore must be his home", one royal source told Daily Mail.
"There is no question about it. HRH's view is that you need a monarch at monarchy HQ. This has never been in doubt."
