King Charles III arrives at royal Easter Sunday service in first major public appearance since cancer diagnosis
King Charles III has been pictured attending the annual royal Easter Sunday Mattins service in Windsor after weeks of speculation.
This marks the king's first major public appearance since being diagnosed with cancer.
The monarch, 75, made it to the service at Windsor Castle, appearing in good spirits, after arriving alongside wife Camilla and the rest of the royal family, including Anne, Princess Royal, Prince Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah, Duchess of York.

It was long speculated Charles would skip the annual church service due to his ongoing battle with cancer.
However, the monarch put on a show of unity with the rest of the royals by arriving at one of his first major public engagements since being diagnosed with cancer in early February.
Charles smiled at well-wishers and waved as he arrived at the church with wife Camilla, who was dressed in a deep sea green outfit and matching hat.

Charles was wished "Happy Easter" by a royal fan before responding "and to you", according to reports from passersby who waited to greet the King.
However, a number of key royals appear to be absent from this year's Easter event, including Catherine, Princess of Wales, and husband William, Prince of Wales, and their children Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and five-year-old Prince Louis.
Kate and William decided to forgo the royal event as the princess undergoes preventative chemotherapy for cancer. The couple and children departed their home in Adelaide Cottage for Amner Hall last week to privately spend the remainder of their children's Easter holidays as a family.

In 2023, the royal family were out in full force for the traditional Easter Sunday Mattins Service at St George's Chapel.
Earlier this week, Charles skipped the traditional Royal Maundy Service on March 28, with wife Camilla attending in his place at Worcester Cathedral.
The monarch will also reportedly skip the Easter lunch which takes place following the service. Charles agreed to make modifications to the royal family's traditional Easter diary to safeguard his health following his diagnosis.
