Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie drop in to coronation Big Lunch in rare royal outing
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have taken part in a rare royal engagement as they joined thousands across the UK celebrating the King's coronation Big Lunch.
The York sisters were among several members of the British royal family who were dispatched to parts of England to take part in community street parties and picnics.
The Prince and Princess of Wales made a surprise visit to a large picnic on The Long Walk at Windsor Castle, hours before the coronation concert on the castle grounds began.

The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh took part in a street party in Cranleigh, Surrey, while Princess Anne and her husband Sir Timothy Laurence went to another in Wiltshire.
Across Britain, 67,000 coronation Big Lunches were held on Sunday over the Bank Holiday weekend.
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie arrived at an event held at Chalfont St Giles, Buckinghamshire, on Sunday afternoon.

They met members of the community having lunch on the village green including representatives from All Together Community, a group established during the pandemic which distributed more than 10000 food parcels to vulnerable people and continues to offer the same service along with running a community fridge.

The princesses posed for selfies with many people in the crowd, who later shared the photos on social media.
One wrote: "Just met princesses Beatrice & Eugenie at the Chalfont St Giles street party…asked them to tell Meghan I love her".

Princess Eugenie is said to be close with the Duchess of Sussex, who chose to stay in California and not attend the coronation of King Charles on Saturday.
Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice arrived at the ceremony with Prince Harry and they were seated together in row three in Westminster Abbey.

Princess Eugenie is due to give birth in the coming months and her baby bump was on show in a fitted white Gabriella Hearst dress.

Princess Eugenie chose a blue Alexander McQueen Blazer and printed skirt by Cara Cara.
The sisters are not working members of the royal family but occasionally attend major events including the coronation and the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee.
