Kate Middleton's Royal Wedding outfit wasn't 'recycled', and here's the proof

In the days after the Royal Wedding, there was plenty of chatter about Kate Middleton “reprising” an outfit she’d worn three times before.
 
Fans and media outlets claimed the Alexander McQueen coat dress was the same one the Duchess of Cambridge, 36, wore to Princess Charlotte’s 2015 christening and on two other occasions since.

However, there were some viewers (including we here at 9Honey) who, on closer inspection, posited the royal mum’s wool silk coat was a new version of the one we’ve seen before.

Now, one eagle-eyed royal watcher has noticed a key difference between the outfits.
 
According to the @RoyalAddicted2 Instagram account, run by a 22-year-old named Jessica, the most recent version of Catherine’s coat has buttons on its cuffs while the other doesn’t.

Jessica shared side-by-side photos of the two outfits to make her point, claiming there was also a subtle yet discernible discrepancy in their colours.

Compelling as it may be, not all of Jessica’s followers seem convinced by her evidence.

“Why on earth would she buy two coats that are nearly identical?” one fan questioned.

“The first picture shows us it is body fitted, while the second one not,” they wrote.

“Must be a Capricorn thing. I can't afford to do it, but if I could I would buy multiples of everything I really love wearing. So practical!” one wrote. 

“Definitely a Capricorn thing! I own various items of clothing in different colours… we Capricorns are creatures of habit,” another confirmed.
