Duke and Duchess of Cambridge meet with volunteers of mental health hotline
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have met with volunteers of a mental health hotline in London.
Prince William and Kate Middleton attended the Shout's Crisis Volunteer celebration event at the Troubadour White City Theatre on Tuesday to hear about the impact of the 24/7 text message support service.
Kate and William launched the service alongside the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in May this year, as part of The Royal Foundation's Heads Together Campaign.

The couple were even treated to a performance inside the theatre and Prince William made a surprise speech.
"It's been an amazing journey and Catherine and I, and I know I speak for Harry and Meghan as well, couldn't be more proud of what Shout has accomplished and what you're still to accomplish," the father-of-three told the crowd.
Since the service went live, Shout 85258 Crisis Volunteers have had 145,000 conversations via text with people in crisis, exchanging 6 million messages.
This annual event was an opportunity for the Royal couple to meet some of the service's 1,500 trained Crisis Volunteers, many of whom live around the UK and log on at all hours to their laptops in their homes to support those struggling.

Kate and Wills heard that of the people contacting Shout, most are reaching out to talk about suicide, depression, relationships. anxiety, isolation and self-harm.
