The Princess of Wales has made significant progress since completing her chemotherapy treatment.

A royal expert has revealed that following the princess's treatment for an unspecified form of cancer, she has returned to the gym and is expected to resume travelling overseas.

Robert Jobson, author of Catherine: The Princess of Wales, says we can expect to see more of Kate, who spent the majority of 2024 away from royal duties, in coming months.

"From what I understand, Catherine is doing very well. She is back training at the gym and doing all the things she wanted to do," he shared with Hello magazine.

Jobson says the royal will continue to conduct public engagements and work behind the scenes.

The princess is expected to return to royal duty in stages, hoping to avoid getting "ill again."

"Her focus will be on her family while still managing to do the key events. I think William is very keen that she does stage a comeback, but I don't think that necessarily signals that we're going to get a big tranche of engagements," Jobson told Hello.

At the start of the year, Kate announced signs of cancer had been found during an abdominal operation in January and she would be taking time off to recover.

"Tests after the operation found cancer had been present," she announced in a personal statement shared via video.

"My medical team, therefore, advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment."

In September, the 42-year-old announced her treatment was over, and was seen for the first time during a meeting with a young cancer patient at Windsor Castle.

Catherine then attended Trooping the Colour and Wimbledon before her making first public-facing appearance, joining her husband, Prince William, to visit Southport after the community was rocked by a knife attack in July.
