Catherine, Princess of Wales breaks tradition with 44th birthday message
Catherine, Princess of Wales, has broken tradition with her latest birthday message.
The royal, who turned 44 on January 9, released a poignant video to commemorate the occasion.
The clip, titled "Mother Nature: Winter", was shared on the Prince and Princess of Wales' YouTube channel and has since amassed almost 37,000 views.

In it, the mum-of-three is seen roaming through nature during winter, donning a green trench coat and Baker Boy cap.
"Even in the coldest, darkest season, winter has a way of bringing us stillness, patience and quiet consideration," Kate said in a voiceover as the footage continued to sweep through nature.
"Where the stream slows just enough for us to see our own reflection. To discover the deepest parts of ourselves.

"Alongside the whispers in the pulse of every living thing, I find myself reflecting on how deeply grateful I am. For the rivers within us flow with ease, fears washed away, cleanse and purify.
"Come to peace with our tears and discover what it means to be alive. To be at one with nature; a quiet teacher and a soft voice that guides. In memory. Helping us to heal."
The royal launched the "Mother Nature" series in spring to bring attention to humanity's connection to nature, and nature's capacity to heal and inspire us.
It is tradition for Kensington Palace to release birthday portraits for prominent members of the royal family, but it seems Kate decided to share this important message instead, almost one year on from announcing that she was in remission after suffering from an undisclosed type of cancer.
When she completed her cancer treatment in September 2024, the 44-year-old celebrated with a similar video taken in nature, this time surrounded by her family – her husband Prince William, and children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
