Kate Middleton praises health workers as she receives her first dose of COVID vaccine

Kate Middleton has received her first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

The Duchess of Cambridge shared a photo of the moment and praised health workers involved in the UK's vaccine rollout.

"Yesterday I received my first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at London's Science Museum," she wrote in a post to the Kensington Royal official Twitter account.

"I'm hugely grateful to everyone who is playing a part in the rollout - thank you for everything you are doing."

The mother-of-three looked effortlessly glamorous in potentially the most casual look: blue jeans and a simple white top.

Kate's vaccination comes just a week after her husband Prince William shared a photo of himself getting the COVID-19 jab.

His photo sent social media wild with people delightedly paying attention to his bulging bicep.

Royal fans couldn't help but comment on his "ripped" physique and "guns" in the picture with some hilarious comments and memes popping up in the hours that followed the reveal.
