Kate Middleton shares childhood photo for Father's Day, draws comparisons to Prince Louis

Kate Middleton has shared a sweet childhood photo to mark Father's Day in the UK, and fans are struck by her resemblance to her youngest son.

The photo shared on Sunday depicts the Duchess of Cambridge as a little girl — plaited pigtails and all — in the arms of her father Michael Middleton.

Talk in the comments section very quickly turned to a popular topic; just how much Prince Louis looks like his mother. Comments read:

Commenters also remarked on how similar Louis looks to his maternal grandfather.

While Prince George is often compared to his father, and Princess Charlotte is said to resemble just about everyone on the Windsor and Spencer branches of her family tree, the Middleton genes are undeniably present in the youngest Cambridge child.

Along with Kate and Michael, Louis has also been compared to his uncle James Middleton, Kate's younger brother.

Friends of the Duchess say she's all too aware of the comparisons.

"Everyone always comments on how Louis is the spitting image of Kate," one told People earlier this year.
