Jessica Mulroney shares flashback photo of Meghan Markle on Instagram amid reports pair are no longer best friends

Weeks after Jessica Mulroney blasted reports she's no longer friends with Meghan Markle as "fake news", the Canadian stylist has shared a flashback snap of her pal.

On Instagram, Mulroney shared a shot of the Duchess of Sussex on her wedding day in 2018, walking into St George's Chapel to marry Prince Harry.

The sweet moment is also one that captures her own son's excitement on the big day.

Mulroney's twin boys Brian and John served as pageboys on the big day and their reactions as they walked into the chapel carrying the bride's Givenchy veil became one of the most talked-about moments of the service.

Mulroney ostensibly captioned the post about this — but her words arguably carry a double meaning, also referring to her friend.

"I see this and pure joy," she wrote in the post. Mulroney has since switched her Instagram account to private.

Mulroney and Meghan have been friends since the American former actress started working on TV drama Suits.

But following a recent social media scandal (at the height of the Black Lives Matter protests), it was rumoured Mulroney had fallen out of the Duchess' good books.

Mulroney found herself at the centre of controversy after she was seen to threaten the livelihood of Black influencer Sasha Exeter.

After leaving social media briefly, on her return to Instagram the stylist shot down reports her royal friend had "ditched" her as a result of the recent controversy, calling the rumours "fake news".

Mulroney's husband Ben also dispelled the reports, labelling them "false" on Twitter.

The Duchess of Sussex has not commented on the reports of a rift between the pair or on Mulroney's scandal, but has been a vocal supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement.
