Former Japanese Princess pregnant with first child: reports

Looks like there's another Royal Baby on the way!

Well, like Archie Harrison Mounbatten-Windsor, this bub probably won't have a royal title either, after mum-to-be, formerly Princess Ayako of Takamado, gave up her title for love.

A member of Japan's Royal Family, Ayako Moriya gave up her Princess title to marry commoner Kei Moriya late last year.

Now, according to multiple reports, the newlyweds will welcome their first child later this year.

No specific due date has been announced but it's understood the 28-year-old will give birth in late Autumn, which would be around November some time.

Following their wedding, the couple spoke to reporters and said they were keen to start a family quickly.

The groom, 32, said he hoped to "build a family full of laughter and smiles".

Ayako's father, who died in 2002, was a first cousin to Emperor Akihito of Japan, who recently abdicated the throne for his son to take over.

The couple were introduced through Ayako's mum Princess Hisako, a long-time friend of the Moriya family.

The former princess's pregnancy is the first time in 30-years a former member of the Imperial Household has been with child — the last being Masako Sen, formerly Princess Masako of Mikasa.
