Inside Prince George, Louis, and Charlotte's new school

For the first time, all three Cambridge children will be attending the same school and it's certainly a school fit for royals.

In September, Prince Louis will reportedly join his siblings, George and Charlotte, at the prestigious Lambrook School, in Ascot, near Windsor Castle.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have reportedly enrolled the children in the expensive private school, which is a stone's throw from Windsor Castle, so that they can be closer to the Queen.

Prince George and Princess Charlotte previously attended Thomas's Battersea, near Kensington Palace in London. Whilst Prince Louis had been attending Willcocks Nursery School, which Charlotte had previously been enrolled at.

Lambrook School, which is estimated to cost Prince William and Kate £17,556 ($30,501 AUD) per child, has a slew of luxurious facilities sprawled across 52 acres of grounds.

The school offers a variety of extravagant extracurricular activities for children to partake in, including pottery, scuba diving and even golf, on their very own nine-hole golf course.

According to the school's website, children are also able to undertake sewing, song writing, podcast making, mountain biking, farming, public speaking and much more.

The school places an importance on academics and offers students the option to choose between a wide variety of subjects including: Science, Greek, French, Math, English, Geography, ICT, Design, Art, Drama, Music and Technology.

William and Kate are expected to move into Adelaide Cottage, a four-bedroom home near the school grounds, in the coming weeks.

Adelaide Cottage, which has been used as a "grace and favour" residence for royal friends for 60 years, was chosen because it requires no extra taxpayer-funded security or costly refurbishment.

It also meets the Cambridges' desire for a "modest home" in Windsor.

Being closer to Windsor Castle will also allow the Duke of Cambridge to have a greater role in official royal duties with the Queen and her staff now based permanently at the Castle.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will continue to base their office at Apartment 1A inside Kensington Palace in London and are expected to live between London and Windsor.

They will also retain their country home, Anmer Hall.
