Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, have hit back at a royal book author in a scathing statement after excerpts from his new book were published.
Bower penned the book Betrayal: Power, Deceit And The Fight For The Future Of The Royal Family.
It reportedly makes claims about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and alleges Queen Camilla had told a friend: "Meghan's brainwashed Harry."
Another claim reportedly made in the book is that the Prince and Princess of Wales allegedly "saw Meghan as a threat".

Extracts have been printed in The Times.
A spokesperson of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex issued a statement to nine.com.au, claiming the author writes "deranged conspiracy and melodrama".
"Mr Bower's commentary has long crossed the line from criticism into fixation," the statement reads.
"This is someone who has publicly stated, 'The monarchy in fact depends on actually obliterating the Sussexes from our state of life,' language that speaks for itself.
