US journalist Megyn Kelly has lashed out at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex ahead of the release of the final three episodes of their Netflix docuseries.

The host of The Megyn Kelly Show has described Volume 1 of Harry & Meghan, released last week, as an "uninspiring, interminable waste of time."

"Those are three hours I'll never get back," Kelly, 52, stated, adding that the series is a "farce."

Kelly took particular issue with the couple's treatment of Meghan's father Thomas Markle Snr, with whom the duchess cut contact following the couple's 2018 wedding.

In the docuseries, the couple recalled the events that led up to the collapse of Meghan's relationship with her father, which they say began when they found out he'd participated in staged paid paparazzi photos.

They claimed Markle denied these claims and later refused to answer their multiple phone calls.

Sharing text message exchanges with Netflix, Meghan said she believed her father's phone had been compromised during the exchanges.

"Of course, it's incredibly sad what happened," Harry, 38, said in the third installment of the program.

"She had a father before this, and now she doesn't have a father. And I shouldered that, because if Meg wasn't with me, then her dad would still be her dad."

Of this incident, Kelly asked, "Was it really unforgiveable?" before laying into Prince Harry for saying Meghan doesn't have a father anymore.

"You know who doesn't have a dad? Me, and millions of others out there who would kill to have just one more Christmas with them," she said, adding that Thomas Markle Snr "raised [Meghan] and loved her and paid for her college and never asked for any of this attention."

"He screwed up in dealing with the paparazzi, staging photos of himself getting ready for her wedding reportedly in exchange for money," the TV host admitted.

"One mistake after a lifetime of loving and supporting her?

"Her dad has had two heart attacks and a stroke. He lives just a few hours away from her, but he's dead to them? Ghosted? I guess Harry's her daddy now."

Volume 2 of Harry & Meghan will be released on December 15 at 7pm AEDT, and a new trailer indicates more bombshell claims to come.

In the preview, the couple discuss their decision to leave the UK with Meghan claiming she wasn't being "thrown to the wolves" but "fed to the wolves."

Harry speaks of his fears for his family's safety ahead of their move to Canada before they settled in the US in Montecito, California. Once again, he references Princess Diana, who died in a Paris car crash in 1997.

Kelly suggested Prince Harry has unresolved issues resulting from the loss of his mother when he was 12, suggesting he needs "psychotherapy" not a "whiny, woke, annoying wife."

The TV personality also took issue with what she has labelled the pair's "victim" mentality.

"Believe it or not, this couple is still complaining," she told viewers, despite having "two beautiful, perfectly healthy children … and nearly $200 million in the bank thanks to their insatiable desire to 'finally tell their story.'"
