Jeremy Clarkson responds to criticism over Meghan article: 'Be more careful in the future'
British broadcaster Jeremy Clarkson has issued a groveling apology after receiving backlash over a recent article he wrote about Meghan Markle for The Sun.
Clarkson, 62, pledged to "be more careful in the future" after being criticised over comments he made about the Duchess of Sussex, including from his own daughter Emily Clarkson.
"Oh dear. I've rather put my foot in it. In a column I wrote about Meghan, I made a clumsy reference to a scene in Game of Thrones and this has gone down badly with a great many people," Clarkson stated on Twitter.

The article received wide-spread criticism, with the Independent Press Standards Organisation receiving more than 6,000 complaints.
He ended his tweet by saying he is "horrified to have caused so much hurt and I shall be more careful in future."
