Camilla and Kate spotted wearing same $50 jewellery

They may be 30 years apart in age, but that doesn't stop the Duchesses of Cornwall and Cambridge from taking fashion notes from one another.

This past Thursday, Camilla was spotted wearing a special edition poppy pin to honour the females who served in World War I.

A day earlier, the pin was worn by Kate as she visited the Imperial War Museum.

They both paired the jewellery with a blue garment, Camilla in a light teal and Kate in navy.

It’s not often that we see the pair taking style pointers from each other and there’s a special meaning behind the piece of jewellery.

The pin, that retails for about 30 pounds (AUD$50), was designed specifically for women involved in the conflict and comes complete with a bespoke story about a particular woman who lost their life in the war.

It's gold-plated with crystals, too, so it has the added benefit of being stylish as well as respectful.

While wearing a poppy pin is common – and we’ve seen Meghan wear a variety of styles during the royal tour – it's nice that this particular one has been honoured by the royals.

Camilla is currently on a nine-day tour of Gambia with her husband Prince Charles.

We'll keep an eye out for more twinning moments that may arise.
