The biggest bombshells in the Rebekah Vardy interview which aired overnight

Rebekah Vardy's bombshell TV interview, following her court loss against Colleen Rooney, has laid bare her very raw emotions about what she has endured over the past two-and-a-half years.

Vardy, 40, sat down with Kate McCann on TalkTV, continuing her denial that she ever leaked stories about Rooney's personal life.

But that wasn't the half of it.

Vardy told McCann there were times during the trial when she almost passed out as messages sent by her friends were read.

"There was overwhelming dizziness and disbelief at what I was reading," she said.

"It was so traumatic, I can't remember. Jamie had to get me out quickly, I thought I was going to pass out."

She also revealed she did all she could to stay mentally well due to her pregnancy at the time with daughter Olivia Grace, now two.

"Being pregnant made it worse, my emotions were stronger, I had to try protect her baby," she said, as she explained how doctors warned her she was going to go into pre-term labour from the stress of the case," she explained.

Vardy also recalled being chased by paparazzi during the trial, with her children being driven to school with garbage bags over the windows to protect their privacy.

She says she did her best to explain the backlash against her to her older daughter.

"Some people will like you some people won't," she recalled saying.

"I am extremely sad and disappointed at the decision that the Judge has reached. It is not the result that I had expected, nor believe was just. I brought this action to vindicate my reputation and am devastated by the Judge's finding.

"The judge accepted that publication of Coleen's Post was not in the 'public interest' and she also rejected her claim that I was the 'Secret Wag'. But as for the rest of her judgement, she got it wrong and this is something I cannot accept."

She added: "As I explained in my evidence I, my family and even my unborn baby, were subjected to disgusting messages and vile abuse following Coleen's Post and these have continued even during the course of the trial. Please can the people who have been abusing me and my family now stop. The case is over. I want to thank everyone who has supported me."

The case, dubbed "Wagatha Christie" began in 2019 when Rooney laid a trap to find out who had been leaking stories about her to the press. She said in an Instagram post she fed three stories to Vardy and shortly after they appeared in the press.

Rooney posted the following post on her social media accounts outing Vardy along with the caption: "This has been a burden in my life for a few years now and finally I have got to the bottom of it......"

She explained the stories she had planted and made visible to one person only being "Rebekah Vardy's account".

Vardy sued Colleen Rooney for libel following the post. The judge ruled against her, stating Rooney's claim was "substantially true".

Of the ruling, Vardy said the judge "didn't understand the case" and she is considering an appeal.
