More than 600,000 Australians were subject to financial abuse in 2020. This is equivalent to more than 43 female and 27 male victims every hour of 2020.

Financial abuse is a non-physical form of domestic and family violence, which is often invisible to the outside eye in intimate partner relationships – and it's the discreet nature of financial abuse that also makes it one of the most insidious kinds of family violence.
