The Queen has "big plans" for Prince William's milestone 40th birthday in June, a royal biographer has revealed.
After two years of low-key events and cancelled engagements due to COVID-19, Her Majesty is reportedly planning to ring in her grandson's 40th with a special party.
Royal expert Christopher Andersen, author of The Brothers and Wives: Inside the Lives of William, Kate, Harry and Meghan told Us Weekly the Queen is organising a surprise for the Duke of Cambridge, while he is also planning something himself.

"The Queen has a big thing planned for William and he is going to throw something as well," Andersen claims.
"There will be big parties again, if COVID allows anything like that to happen."
Prince William will turn 40 on June 21, 2022, six months after his wife Kate celebrated the milestone birthday.
The Cambridges reportedly held a "low key" bash for Kate Middleton's birthday in early January, organised by William and the couple's children Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, six, and three-year-old Prince Louis.

Royal expert Duncan Larcombe told OK! Kate planned a "deliberately modest" birthday in a bid to avoid comparisons with Meghan Markle.
Larcombe said Kate marked the occasion quietly with Prince William and her family rather than a party, as "the Duke and Duchess are growing older gracefully".
It is also believed the Cambridges are considering a move to Berkshire from their current weekend residence at Anmer Hall, a move that has reportedly left their family and friends "aghast".

"Their London circle is aghast — what's wrong with Anmer Hall, their 10-bedroom weekend house in Norfolk?" a source told The Telegraph.
"And so, too, are their green-welly friends, who consider this corner of Berkshire as not proper countryside and horribly naff."
The insider added: "People can be very snotty about that area west of London, but that mainly comes out of ignorance."
