No, that's not a typo on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding invitation

We mere commoners may never receive an invitation to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding, but we’ve at least had a peek at what they look like.

On Thursday, Kensington Palace shared photos of the gilded cards being posted to 600 royal wedding invitees ahead of the May 19 nuptials at Windsor Castle.

In a sweet nod to the couple’s home countries, the invitations are printed in gold and black American ink on English card.

Every detail of the Barnard and Westwood creations, from the choice of font to the wording of the message, has been carefully pored over by royal fans.

And some have noticed something interesting about the couple's names.

“His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales requests the pleasure of the company of ______ at the marriage of his royal highness Prince Henry of Wales with Ms. Meghan Markle at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle on Saturday, 19th May 2018 at 12 noon followed by a reception at Windsor Castle,” the invitation reads.

No, "Henry" is not a typo: it's Harry's real name. (Or part of it, anyway – the full whack is Henry Charles Albert David.)

But the invite hasn't used Meghan's real name (which is Rachel, if you're wondering – Meghan is in fact her middle name). According to People, it was Meghan's decision to go with her more commonly used name for the invitations.

As it turns out, there are some small but key differences between Harry and Meghan’s invitations and those created for Kate Middleton and Prince William’s wedding.

One lies in the introduction of the two royal brides - “Miss. Catherine Middleton” as opposed to “Ms. Meghan Markle”.
