Prince Albert and Princess Charlene hand out Christmas presents to the public at Monaco Palace
Members of Monaco's royal family took part in the annual children's Christmas party, where they hand out gifts from under the palace Christmas tree to members of the public, on December 20, 2023.
They were led by Prince Albert and Princess Charlene, who arrived at the event arm-in-arm.
The sovereign even donned a festive tie for the event, featuring Santa and Chritmas trees in a check design.
The couple watched elves perform in the palace courtyard and appeared to be giggling at the act.
On arrival at the christmas tree at Monaco Palace, the couple made a beeline to say hello to the most important attendee - Santa Claus.
The couple also happily posed alongside the man of the hour in an image shared on their social media page.
The annual tradition was started in the 1960s by Prince Albert's dad, Prince Rainier, to introduce the kids of Monaco to his new wife, American actress Grace Kelly.
It's a tradition that's now continued by Princess Grace's children and grandchildren.
The couple this year were joined by Prince Albert's niece Camille Gottlieb and nephew Louis Ducruet.
They are two of Princess Stephanie's three children.
Prince Albert and Princess Charlene's own children, twins Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella were reportedly sick so couldn't attend the event.
Princess Charlene spoke with the parents and grandparents who were with the kids as well, spreading the Christmas cheer to all.
The royals were all rugged up for the outdoor event on a winter's day, with Princess Charlene wearing red gloves that matched the chunky knit under her heavy black coat.
Influencer Camille (left) appeared to know just what this little boy wanted as she pulled out one gift to his delight.
Although this was not quite by luck, with each child getting a gift picked out specifically for them based on their requests when invited.
