Job seeker sees offensive comment made about her by job manager
A New York woman has received a shocking text message from a hiring manager after applying for a job. Thankfully, she seems to be seeing the funny side to it.
"I applied for a job and this is how they respond back," the woman, Jasmine, writes in the caption to the video.
In the video, posted on TikTok @madumjas, we see the message Jasmine received which reads: "Hey Jasmine, I'm just following up on our paperwork appointment from Monday, are you still interested in the position you piece of crap."

Upon realising what they had sent, the hiring manager then claimed the "piece of crap" line was due to a spelling error, although what she was intending to say is less clear.
Some of Jasmine's followers suggested the person had been using voice-to-text software when sending the message.
"I guarantee you she was using voice to text while driving or working or whatever and something went wrong," one writes, although they suggest the hiring manager wasn't talking about Jasmine but was referencing something or someone else.
Perhaps it was a comment directed at someone who had cut them off in traffic.

Jasmine was ultimately offered the job but turned it down.
"That's just their signature," says one TikTok follower.
"I would have responded with 'wow thanks for reminding me,'" adds another.
"Ask them if a hiring management position just opened up," another writes.
