As Australia claimed victory over England in the 2025 Ashes Test, Australian cricket captain Pat Cummins celebrated on the field with his team.

But just metres away was the woman who has supported him through it all, jumping up and down for joy in the stands with their son Albie in her arms.

The 31-year-old cricketer, who is the first fast bowler on the Australian team to be made captain in over 50 years, has had a successful career on the pitch for more than a decade.

His wife Rebecca 'Becky' Cummins née Boston has remained firmly by his side through it all since they first met over a decade ago.

In August 2022, Pat tied the knot with his longtime love Becky in a fairytale wedding in idyllic Byron Bay, after almost ten years together.

The pair met for the first time in 2013 at a bar in King's Cross, Sydney's bustling nightlife district, when Pat was 20 and Becky, just 22.

After striking up a conversation, the two went and enjoyed a meal together at McDonald's, starting what would become a romance for the Aussie history books.

Being over from the UK on a visa, Becky wasn't aware of the cricketer's sporting status.

"The first couple of times I met Becky, I told her I was a uni student because, technically, I was. I left out the cricket part," Pat told The Age.

"Then one day, a few weeks after we started dating, she walked past a KFC in the city, and on the front was me wearing a bucket hat."

"She reckons she did a double take and was like, 'Hang on, that's Pat'," he recalled.

After seven years of dating, the couple took their fairytale romance to the next level in 2020 with an engagement.

But before they even walked down the aisle, the couple had another exciting development in their love story as the pandemic pushed back their wedding plans.

In October, 2021, the Cummins clan grew by one as the happy couple welcomed their son Albie.

The cricketer posted a heartwarming video montage of their pregnancy journey, from finding out they were expecting to telling their family and friends, and then finally welcoming their bundle of joy into the world.

So when his team took out the Ashes trophy for 2025, it wasn't just a win for Pat and his team, it was a win for Pat's whole family and, of course, for all of Australia.

As they took out the win, Becky held their eldest in her arms as they cheered for Pat from the stands.

She then grabbed little Edi and the three of them joined Pat on the field to lap up the post-win glow.
