Police officers searching for missing child find note shaming them

Police officers were shocked to discover a note on the windshield of their patrol car shaming them for where they had parked.

The officers from Plymouth Central in the UK had left their car in a space reserved for parents while out on a job.

That job: answering a call about a lost child.

When the officers returned to their vehicle, they found the note, which read, "Nice child in your car Mr. Policeman! Guilty!!"

It seems someone had witnessed them parking their patrol car in the space.

The officers later shared the note on their station’s official Twitter account to explain why they chose the spot.

"The officer was dealing with two immediate [job] logs," the tweet reads. "A vulnerable child that was missing from home and a male that had fallen and sustained a head injury. The officer parked in the 1st space available."

Twitter followers slammed the note’s author.

"For goodness sake, a Policeman on duty should be one of the few people who can park where they like or as in this case need to," one writes.

"How ridiculous that person is making a hard job harder."

"Wait to they need you and then they won’t care where you park," writes another.

"Should’ve been written in crayon to reflect immaturity. Take. No. Notice."

 "You did nothing wrong," another adds.

"Park ANYWHERE you need to. Thank you for being there to help those in need. #BackTheBlue."

Take all that, mysterious note writer. Police can park wherever they like.
