Optical illusion proves to be a mind-bender: What do you see?

A black and white picture, seemingly of a face, is bending minds around the world.

Shared on a Reddit thread, dedicated to similar shape shifters, followers were asked to report what it is they see when looking at the optical illusion.

Most, at first glance, see a black and white outline of a face.

However if you tilt your head to the right, the word 'Liar' appears, for some.

Then there are those who report seeing the word 'Liar' first, before the face appears.

"All I see is Sylvester Stallone," says one Reddit follower.

Another admits: "I wouldn't have seen the word liar if I wasn't looking for it."

Others report seeing '8 Liar' when they look at the picture sideways.

"Face first," reports another.

Earlier this week an optical illusion featuring a number proved similarly divisive to followers, this one shared on Twitter by @benonwine.

It featured a black and white circle with a zig-zag pattern inside and a number in the middle

While everyone was able to see number, the digits that made up the number were different for everyone.

"DO you see a number? If so, what number?", the user captioned the post.

To which Twitter followers responded with everything from "528" all the way to "845283".
