Prince Harry and Meghan Markle release official engagement photos

It’s one of next year’s most highly anticipated weddings, and newly engaged couple Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have given a new sneak peek into their royal romance.

The couple has released a number of official photographs to mark their engagement.

The intimate shots show the pair posing on steps outside Frogmore House in Windsor, with Harry wearing a navy suit and Ms Markle wearing a glamorous gown by Ralph and Russo.

A second photograph is in black and white, and shows the actress wearing a cream sweater by Victoria Beckham and lovingly touching the Prince’s face, while showing off her dazzling engagement ring.

The ring is made from two diamonds from Princess Diana’s personal collection and another diamond from Bostwana, and was designed by Harry.

The photographs were taken this week by Polish fashion photographer Alexi Lubomirski.

Windsor is said to have become a very special place for the couple during their relationship and will be the setting for their wedding next May.

“It was an incredible honour to be asked to document this wonderful event, but also a great privilege to be invited to share and be a witness to this young couple’s love for one another,” Mr Lubomirski said in a statement released by Kensington Palace.

“I cannot help but smile when I look at the photos that we took of them, such was their happiness together.”
