I have a yearly Duo Lingo membership that remains unused that will feature again in another unsuccessful attempt to become fluent in Italian.

I haven't even thought of that yet! I'll think of something on the night... that's if I make it to midnight! I'll likely be asleep before then.

David Reyne, Getaway presenter

To continue to throw a shadow.

Probably to eat healthier. Always easier said than done.

Marina Prior, Carols by Candlelight performer

Keep going to my gym and yoga classes consistently ( instead of sporadically!) and reorganise my closet!

Usual stuff, lose some unwanted kilos, be a nicer person, etc. Oh, and play a bunch more video games.

Monika Kos, Nine News Perth presenter

I never make them. I don't need an excuse to make changes; I can do this any time of the year. Why leave something for tomorrow when it can be done today?

Gary Clare, 4BC presenter

Usual – diet, exercise, forget, make same resolution next year

Marlee Silva, 9honey columnist

The only New Year's resolution I've ever properly stuck to was when I was 17 and decided I'd become a vegetarian.

Eleven years on I'm still sticking strong, so I'm going to channel that level of commitment as I pursue my 2024 resolutions, which are to run a half marathon and lower my weekly screen time by at least 25 per cent (I'm more confident about the run).

Shaynna Blaze, The Block judge

Not to make one. I start planning the new year in early December, so I am focused for the year but January is about being relaxed and kind to myself. Resolutions set you up to fail.

Sophie Monk, Love Island Australia host

I've given up on these as I they just don't work for me.

Shelly Horton, 9honey contributor

My New Year's resolution is to not have a New Year's resolution. I think they're dumb. I've never stuck to them. Why start the year with a failure?

Clean out the junk room and sort my tubbies of photos and paper clippings

Sam McClymont, Getaway presenter

Three years ago I started the NY resolution to read more and I have continued it every year as I feel it's something that's attainable and realistic.

Not to pack my schedule in as much as 2023! And putting my phone away more.

Roz Kelly, sports presenter

Balance has always eluded me, so I'll try for that (again).

Scott Cam, The Block host

Same as last year, I don't make them.

Like many Aussies, Scott Cam just isn't into New Year's resolutions. Instagram

Matthew Pavlich, sport presenter

To travel overseas with the family…but also plan a little Easter break, as we always leave that one to the last minute!

Charli Robinson, Getaway presenter

To be in the moment. Time is passing by so quickly, with babies it's true what they say, the nights are long & years are fast. I might be exhausted but it's also the happiest I've ever been, I embrace that.

Marty Fox, The Block judge

Just to keep doing what I'm doing. Stay healthy, play the long-term game, live in the moment and don't let any opportunities slip, push the boundaries and have fun.

Mike Goldstein, The Hundred With Andy Lee panellist

To stop comparing myself to others. Unless I know I am doing better than them, if that's the case it can be pretty satisfying.

Better gym commitment.

Livinia Nixon, Nine News Melbourne weather presenter

Not to make NY resolutions. I can never keep them, so what's the point?

Liz Hayes, Under Investigation host

I gave them up a long time ago.

Sami Lukis, 9honey columnist

I'm going old-school with my resolution this year – to get fit. After letting my overall health and fitness slide this year (and putting on 4kg, thanks to HRT), it was time for a reality check, so I joined my local yoga/pilates studio. I'm back into it and loving it. After only a few weeks I feel so much better already!
