Like many of us, I tend to have high standards for myself and be quick to self-criticise and be a bit of a perfectionist.

As we head into 2023, I'm focusing on reframing my mindset and attitude with pause, mindfulness, dedication, self-compassion, kindness, and a whole lot of re-parenting. But this work is a long process and I'm here for it, rolling up my sleeves.

I very much hope 'cancel culture' and the bullying incited by online hate mobs is relegated to the past.

There's no question there should be consequences for poor behaviour and those who have committed legitimate wrongs should be held accountable for their actions.

All too often, however, people have been globally shamed and crucified by others with a "seek and destroy" mentality.

In the vast majority of cases, their views have been informed by edited clips, false narratives and agendas driven by people who should be called out for perpetuating misinformation.

I sincerely hope 2023 is kinder, more tolerant and more forgiving in every respect.

Caring about what people think of me. This one is hard, and is something I am slowly getting better at doing less, but as a people-pleaser to my core I find it really hard.

I know it doesn't serve me at all, and so in 2023 I am going to put a lot of work in to start caring less about others' judgement and more about the important things.

Long queues at the airport and cancelled flights! We've got some travel plans in 2023, so it would be great to have things run smoother.

On a personal level, my own mental health struggles with anxiety and how critical I can be of myself at times. However, I am so proud to say I am working through it all with my therapist and loved ones and even if it's not a linear healing experience, I am healing nonetheless.
