Neighbour leaves nasty note on door ahead of 'friendsgiving' gathering

A grumpy apartment resident who clearly wasn't feeling thankful this Thanksgiving in the US has left a nasty note on his neighbour's door.

The neighbour was hosting a 'friendsgiving' gathering for those unable to be with family this year.

A copy of the note has been shared on Reddit's 'Mildly Infuriating' thread along with the explanation: "Went to a friendsgiving, they let their neighbor know ahead of time that they would be having people over, it was 4:45pm on a Saturday and about six people were there at that point. He abruptly knocked on the door once, taped this note to the door and ran off."

The hand-written letter read: "I am not sure why you would feel it is appropriate to have a 15 person Friend giving in these apartments with the walls being as thin as they are. I am an attorney. I work early and late from home.

"I will not tolerate you having essentially a PARTY next door. I have already informed police of your intention," it continued. "If I hear you, I will call. We must respect one another. Thanks."

"The spacing between words looks like a psychopath wrote it," one Redditor joked.

Another observed: "This is every Karen's go-to tactic. They think mentioning the police will make people back off and stop what they are doing even if its not illegal at all and there's a zero per cent chance the police comes.

"It's their way of forcing what they want onto someone else."

"Well someone's p---ed he didn't get an invite," another suggested.

"People moving into apartments and expecting not to ever hear their neighbors are ridiculous," another explains.

"People like that are ones that I actively try to annoy. I make it a mission," one Redditor shared.

"Lucky for him, all the courts were closed on Thursday and Friday. And courts aren't open on weekends. And mild noise at 4:45 p.m. doesn't qualify as a public nuisance in most jurisdictions," another explained.
