President Biden's granddaughter Naomi engaged to boyfriend of three years Peter Neal

Joe Biden's 27-year-old granddaughter Naomi Biden is engaged to her boyfriend of at least three years, Peter Neal.

Announcing the news via Instagram, Naomi, who is the eldest daughter of Hunter Biden and named after her late aunt, shared a snap of herself, her fiancé and her new diamond ring, alongside the caption, "Forever 🤍"

Neal shared the same snap to his own page, with both Neal and Naomi tagging Jackson Hole in Wyoming as their location.

Naomi, who is a Columbia Law graduate, and Neal, who interned for Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, have been together for at least three years.

In a post shared to his Instagram for Naomi's birthday in December 2019, Neal called her "the most brilliant and beautiful best friend" and said Naomi is "more kind, loving, and thoughtful than the world deserves and we are all, and me in particular, lucky to get another trip around the sun with her."

Friends and strangers sent their well-wishes to the couple, with one friend writing, "Wooohoooooo !!! Congrats lovers ❤️" under their announcement.

"Congratulations, that's fantastic, you have found your soulmate ♥️" another person commented.

The US president has seven grandchildren.

Naomi is the eldest of Hunter Biden's three daughters — the younger two being Finnegan and Maisy — with his ex-wife Kathleen Biden.

Hunter also has another child, who was born in 2018, with Lunden Alexis Roberts, an Arkansas woman.

With his wife Melissa Cohen, whom Hunter married six days after meeting, he has a one-year-old child.

Joe Biden's other two grandchildren, Naomi's cousins Natalie and Robert, were born to his son Beau, who passed away in 2015 of brain cancer, and Beau's wife Hallie.
