This mum was not impressed when her son took her to a vegan restaurant
A mum has achieved internet notoriety after ripping into her son when he took he to a vegan restaurant instead of a “burger, pizza or god forbid chicken kebab” place.
Teenager Dan had decided to take his mother for a meal to celebrate his A-Level results - equivalent to the HSC - and chose a popular vegan restaurant in Liverpool, England. However, his mum wasn’t quite as pleased with his choice of The Egg Cafe, and took to Facebook to rant about her son’s pick.
“Why can't I have a normal teenage son who enjoys burgers, pizzas n God forbid chicken kebab hey ho, vegetarian restaurant n spicey [sic] lentils it is ho yum, going to hug tree next,” she wrote.
A couple did sympathise with Dan’s mother, though, and insisted that their family would have reacted the same way to being confronted with a restaurant that serves VEGETABLES?!
“Okay my family would never post it online but they complained exactly like that when i took them to the veggie grill,” one follower wrote.
Another simply put “I like your mum”.
We get the feeling this is the ‘passive aggressive note left on the fridge’ type family.
