Dying your hair is something many women do regularly.

But one mum caused an internet uproar last year after giving her toddler pink hair – and she is still being shamed for the decision.

Instagram star Charity Grace, who has 250K followers, posted a photo of two-year-old daughter Felicity doing a tree pose and happily still sporting her pink eyebrows and hair.

"Just a magical baby yogi and her fuzzy baby bunny," she captioned the image. She added that Felicity's hair colour is by Artic Fox, a company that makes vegan, cruelty-free dyes Charity says are "completely safe for kids".

But commenters still weren't happy about it.

"I think it wrong to die[sic] such a young child['s] hair including her eye brows," wrote one. "It is damaging to the hair and what happens when natural coloured roots to grow in?"

Others asked, in slightly stronger language, why such a little girl needed any 'artificial' beauty treatment.

But most were on Charity (and Felicity's) side, and fans of what they saw as a fun, cute look.

The debate ran along a similar divide last year. In June 2017, Charity posted a teaser clip to a YouTube video tutorial in which she put a wash-out colour (from another company, Manic Panic) in Felicity's hair.

The tiny tot was tickled pink as the prospect of getting new brightly coloured hair on her long blonde locks.

"I'm not lightening the hair because I don't want to damage her hair, cause she's still really little. The dye I'm using is a semi-permanent dye, which will wash out," she told viewers while brushing her daughter's hair.

The post had over 3,200 comments with people telling Charity: "Wtf ??? Stupid mother"

"Are you crazy ? You did thise (sic) for likes!!!! Im sorry for you , who dye hair of little child? Im so angry with you," another wrote.

"This is not good for her hair, dye isn't made for kids' hair," Another noted.

But others stood up for Charity, saying: "I find it funny hair most of you arent (sic) hair stylists and have no clue what the f*** your talking about".

It also wasn't the first time the mother-of-two let her baby girl dye her hair, with pictures of the youngster sporting the coloured locks (along with a dummy) posted in December 2016.
