TikToker's bold claim: 'You don't truly know someone 'til you've asked them this question'
A woman has stunned TikTok users after revealing the one question you need to ask in order to "truly" know someone.
Erica Mallett, aka @erica_mallett, shared the seemingly simple question with her followers, declaring, "You don't truly know someone until you've asked them."
"You could have known them for 10, 15 years. You could feel like you know them inside-out," she continues. (Watch the clip above.)
"But the answer to this question will change everything you think you knew about them."

She went on to reveal the question:: "If I say we have a meeting at midday and then I say, 'Can we move it forward two hours?', what time is that?"
The clip drew more than 14.5 million views, 1.2 million likes, and over 30,000 comments. Viewers were torn between the answers 10am or 2pm.
One person racked up 22,000 likes on a comment that read, "Anyone not saying 10am is just wrong" and another garnered 52,000 likes by commenting, "10am people are pick me's."
Another person wrote, "People saying 2pm actually don't understand how time works lol."

Other people tried to rationalise Mallet's question by breaking down the answers.
One wrote, "Move it forward – 2pm, bring it forward – 10am", while another commented, "Move forward two hours – 10am, push back two hours – 2pm."
In a follow-up video, Mallett tried to break down the differing responses, claiming the answer you have depends on how you view time.
"If you see yourself as moving through time, then you're moving towards 2pm and you will say 2pm," she said.
"If you see time as moving through you, you will say 10am."

Despite providing an explanation, her question continued to divide users with people still taking to the comments to disagree.
One person wrote, "I asked my two housemates this. They each said a different answer simultaneously. They're now arguing outside my bedroom door."
