Mother of influencer found dead shares emotional Facebook post
The mother of American influencer Alexis Sharkey has shared an emotional Facebook post after her daughter was found dead after going missing over the Thanksgiving weekend.
"It's with deeply broken hearts that Mike and I want to let you all know that Lexi's body has been found," Stacy Robinault wrote on Facebook late on Sunday night.
"We cannot begin to thank you all for your love and the kind words you've extended to our family! Please give us this time to grieve this incredible loss to our family and this world!!! We will miss you, Love!!!!"

Robinault also posted two photos of her daughter.
Sharkey, 26, moved to Houston earlier this year and went missing on Friday night following a reported argument with her husband Tom Sharkey.
Police have been told the woman didn't take her car or any of her belongings when she left the home.

Robinault hadn't spoken to Sharkey since before Thanksgiving and was contacted by her daughter's husband on Saturday, who told her she was missing.
"[He] called us up to let us know, and that's when, of course, any parent goes into full panic mode," Robinault told ABC 13.
Robinault and her husband Mike begged for help to find their daughter, sharing a plea on Facebook.

"Please share this post!!! My daughter, Alexis Sharkey, is missing!! No one has heard from her for over 24 hours and the police are involved," Robinault wrote.
"She has lived in Houston Texas since January and that was where she was last seen. Please help us find her and bring her home safely!! We are so very desperate!!! Please share!!"

On Sunday night, Houston Police Department confirmed Sharkey's body had been found. It was discovered by a public works employee on Red Haw Street.
Police report the influencer has positively identified using finger prints. An autopsy is being carried out by Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. It isn't known how she died.
Sharkey's husband has since shared a picture of her in her wedding dress on Facebook, along with the caption: "Never seen or felt such beauty! You are my world!"
The investigation continues.
