Taylor Swift makes Forbes celebrity billionaires list for first time but she's actually the least wealthy star on it
Forbes has released its annual list of celebrity billionaires, and 2024's iteration marks a special milestone for Taylor Swift – for the first time ever, the singer has been named as part of the elite club.
But her fortune is small change compared to the sheer wealth accumulated over the years by the rich list's heavy hitters, which includes Rihanna, Tyler Perry, Jay-Z and more.
Read on to see the 14 celebrities who made the list and how much they're worth – including Oprah Winfrey impressive riches.

14. Taylor Swift – $US1.1 billion (approx. $1.7 billion)
After becoming a billionaire aged 33 in October, Swift – now 34 – has made the Forbes celebrity billionaire list for the first time following a record-breaking world tour (which is only half-way through).
Although she's the least wealthy on the list, Swift's fortune is special in its own way – she's the first musician to become a billionaire strictly off earnings from her music and performances, without brand deals, partnerships or non-music-related initiatives.
13. Dick Wolf – $US1.2 billion (approx. $1.8 billion)
Also debuting on this year's list is Dick Wolf, 77, who is behind some of the world's most-watched crime shows – and Law & Order is only one of them.
12. Earvin 'Magic' Johnson Jr. – $US1.2 billion (approx. $1.8 billion)
Basketballer Magic Johnson, 64, made his fortune through savvy business deals with other billionaires, and he also owns a handful of sporting teams in various leagues.
A majority of his wealth, however, comes from his stake in life insurance provider EquiTrust.
11. LeBron James – $US1.2 billion (approx. $1.8 billion)
Another basketballer!
LeBron James, 39, built his fortune with both on- and off-court endeavours.
He owns stakes in businesses including Blaze Pizza, has invested in real estate, owns his own production and entertainment company, and, like Johnson, is the owner of various sports teams across multiple leagues.
10. Tiger Woods – $US1.3 billion (approx. $2 billion)
Tiger Woods is one of two athletes who became a billionaire while still active in their sport – the other is James.
The 48-year-old's vast fortune mostly comes from endorsements, including his three-decade-long partnership with Nike.
That came to an end in January, and he's since announced his own clothing line, which is called Sun Day Red.
9. Rihanna – $US1.4 billion (approx. $2.1 billion)
The 36-year-old mogul may have rose to fame for being a pop star, but she has stakes in Fenty Beauty and Savage X Fenty – both of which are billion-dollar brands.
Fenty Beauty is, of course, partially owned by LVMH.
8. Tyler Perry – $US1.4 billion (approx. $2.1 billion)
The man who sheltered Prince Harry and Meghan Markle when they fled the United Kingdom steadily built the means to do so over a three-decade career, which has seen the 54-year-old create, produce and act across various television shows, films, and plays.
7. Peter Jackson – $US1.5 billion (approx. $2.3 billion)
The visionary Lord of the Rings director can more than afford elevenses and more thanks to his visual effects company.
Weta Digital, which was co-founded by Peter Jackson, 62, in 1993, sold a portion of its assets to Unity Software in 2021, which saw Jackson score almost $US1 billion (approx. $1.5 billion) in stock and cash.
6. Kim Kardashian – $US1.7 billion (approx. $2.6 billion)
SKIMS founder Kim Kardashian has more than proven herself to be not just a reality star, with the shapewear brand only one of the ways she built her fortune.
Before she shut KKW Beauty down, she sold 20 per cent of it to Coty in 2020, netting herself $US200 million (approx. $307 million) in the process.
