Have we lost all concept of phone etiquette?

Put your phone down for a minute we need to talk about phone etiquette.

Recently I was at the airport and a middle aged white man in a blue suit, full of his own importance, had a very loud business call with his phone on speaker. The rest of the people around him were rolling their eyes. It was like he assumed he was the most important person in the room. I wanted to go up and pour my coffee on his head. 

Have we lost all concepts of phone etiquette?  

You wouldn’t have a conversation with someone in front of you at the volume.

I’m happy for people to use FaceTime for special moments like bedtime stories or chatting to grandparents. But find a quiet spot. 

FaceTime calls for business should not be made in public spaces.  Do it in your office or simply put the phone to your damn ear.

The whole phone culture means it is part of our lives now and the rules need to be updated and modified.

Can you believe millennials think it’s okay to take selfies at funerals?

There is the haunting vision of a girl speeding in car doing an Insta-story moments before a horrific head-on which killed her and the man in the other car. Then her friends did selfies from their hospital beds. On what plant is that appropriate? Did they not learn a lesson?
