Michelle Obama rocks her natural hair and Twitter can't get enough

The former First Lady has been keeping a low-profile of late, but a new picture has sent Twitter in to meltdown.

Michelle Obama was photographed without her trademark sleek bob last week. Instead she was wearing her hair natural, swept back by a grey and white polka dot headband.

Twitter user @meagnacarta shared the snap. It's not known where or when it was taken, but that hasn't stopped the post being retweeted more than 25,000 times since Sunday. 

Barack Obama is currently writing his memoirs in French Polynesia. The Obamas told Twitter they would be taking a vacation on the eve of President Trump's inauguration. They said they would then return to public life "to work with you on the issues we care about".

Both the former President and his wife have landed book deals following their departure from the White House. Michelle has also made surprise visits to schools in Washington DC, and supported community groups in Chicago.
