Thousands react to wholesome text from woman's future father-in-law

An adorable text message from a woman's future father-in-law following her engagement has left her followers gushing.

Internet personality Mia Amabile shared the touching message she received shortly after her fiancé Alex proposed. 

"My dearest Mia, now that it is official, I wanted to take a moment to directly and personally tell you how overjoyed we all are to have you become an official member of our family, and us of yours," the text from Alex's father Doug read.

"We have loved you from the moment we met you, and could always see that you and Alex were absolutely meant to be together forever!"

"The most important thing is that you guys clearly unconditionally love each other, and take care of each other, and that is by far the most important thing that ever matters," the text continued.

Referring to it as her 'Roman Empire', Amabile expressed her gratitude for Doug's kindness in her TikTok post. 

"I mean… what a role model for my future husband!!!!" she captioned the post. 

Amabile said the sweet message was simply a small example of Doug's unconditional love. 

"This text was no surprise for me because I'm so used to his ways but regardless I still cried many happy tears," she told People. 

The video has received over 3.7 million views and over 420,000 likes, with hundreds of TikTokers flooding the comment section to express their admiration for Doug's kind gesture. 

"Doug is the father in law we aspire to have," one comment read.

"I was done after 'My dearest Mia'," read another.

Since the wholesome text went viral, Amabile has taken to TikTok again to speak on the unexpected situation.

"You guys blew up my TikTok about my future father-in-law Doug who sent me the most amazing text after I got engaged," Amabile says in her recent TikTok post. 

"The comments were just so sweet Doug and I were in complete shock."
