The 44-year-old replied, "What a privilege to be aging in any manner – thanks for your opinion though."
Posting the screenshot, she added in the caption, "You know you are in a good place when you genuinely believe your response. And I do. What a privilege to be able to be alive.
"No matter how you perceive my aging, I'm proud of it."

The weather expert was applauded for her response, with viewers taking to her comments to defend her.
"In my opinion, you are aging extremely well! You are as beautiful now as 20 years ago! Used to tune into GMA weekends primarily to watch your forecasts," said one long-time fan.
"I agree it's a privilege… hurt people hurt people…. Social media does not give anyone the right to say whatever mean thing pops into their head. Choose kindness," added another.

"You are a beautiful woman…on the inside AND OUTSIDE!! You are an inspiration to people of all ages!!" one shared in a kind comment.
"People can be so cruel. You are a wonderful human, period! You are beautiful inside and out!" another said, "Hopefully the person who was so crass with that comment will find peace within and grow up."
It is not the first time Zee has spoken up in defense of herself.
In 2021, an anonymous X user said she was "paid millions to read cue cards."
Zee took it in stride and asked the commenter, "Can you please get me paid millions?" before adding, "And no, I don't read anything – I ad lib. I'm a scientist who talks about science – with no script."
The anonymous user responded to her again, writing, "You're a weather girl who looks good in a skirt."

Zee hit back with, "Women can be scientists AND look good in a skirt. I happen to be one of those women.
"Don't project your anger and frustration on others without knowing the facts."
