You're like Matildas "two-footed" speedster Mary Fowler. Her favourite subject at school was Maths so its no surprise problem-solving is a strength of hers. Fowler says the best word to sum up her playing-style is 'creative'. She considers herself "quite technical" and according to her teammates is one of the best trainers on the squad. Brazil superstar Marta was her idol.

One of five children, she grew up playing football on the beaches of Australia with her brothers and sisters. She also loves art, nature and animals, having previously said she might have been a zoologist if she weren't a footballer.

You have to be a quick thinker to be a striker, captain, and all-round back flipping whizz like Sam Kerr. Moving around a lot for her career, the superstar relishes being able to spend time with friends and family, and still regularly goes on holidays with her high school friends group.

Kerr is definitely known for enjoying a laugh and a joke around. Some may have caught her throwing some of her leg strapping at a teammate as they sat on the bench during the Tillies' second Group match against Nigeria. She loves a double cheeseburger and reckons she's a dog person (even though she has a cat!)

You're like Matildas vice-captain Steph Catley, whose accurate 'left foot' has been praised by her teammates. While she lives in London, beach days are one of her favourite things to do when she comes home. She'll also be on the hunt for a cracking Aussie brunch (specifically a "good smashed avo and poached eggs") and coffee pretty much as soon as she's off the plane.

Patience is a virtue as a defender but also something that makes Catley an ideal person to become a teacher, something she's keen to pursue in her life post-football. She considers herself an "AFL nut" and "a Melbourne girl through and through", but once she broke into representative football, Catley finally had a female footballing role model to idolise, in the form of former Matildas skipper Melissa Barbieri.

The dog mum also got engaged earlier this year so there is a lot of love going around in the Catley household.

As Australia's goalkeeper, MacKenzie Arnold has definitely been calm under pressure. But she also knows her self-proclaimed easy-going nature can sometimes get her into trouble. Her time playing with West Ham has helped her shift her mindset, speaking previously about the confidence she's been able to gain from playing against "some of the best football players in the world in this league".

Off the field, Macca (as she's called by her teammates and friends) loves to travel and she loves her food and cooking, studying a Diploma of Nutrition.
