Man steps in after noticing woman being harassed by a stranger
A man has been praised for stepping in to help a young woman being harassed in a shop in the US.
Brandon Robert, who shared the moment he intervened on TikTok, says he noticed a man making the girl feel uncomfortable and touching her, so decided to go over and greet her, pretending he knew her.
In the video, which you can watch above, Brandon can be seen walking towards the young woman, explaining: "There is this weird man making this girl uncomfortable in the store.
"I'm going to pretend I know her."
Brandon begins the TikTok video explaining what he was seeing in the supermarket. TikTok
He walks over to her and begins talking to her, starting by saying: "Oh my god, hi. How're you?"
Immediately understanding he was stepping in to help her, she answers: "Oh my god, hi. I'm good how're you?"
Brandon then tells the girl he is with his aunt and does she want to come and see her and the girl says: "Aunt Claire?"
Brandon and the young woman then walk off together, with the girl thanking the kind stranger for his help.
"He was seeing if I wanted to go back to his place, so creepy," she tells Brandon at the end of the video.

"I was watching him from across the freaking room, he was touching you," Brandon says. "Are you ok?
She says she is okay and the video, which as been watched over 35 million times, ends.
Followers of the man on TikTok have labelled him a "legend" for stepping in.
"Yo you're a good dude," commented another.
One woman suggested "Aunt Claire" be used as code for those in need of help from being harassed.

Another woman said: "Guys PLEASE do this. It rly does help cuz unfortunately these men will only leave a girl alone when another man comes."
"It's sad women have to go through this," commented another.
"THIS IS THE BARE MINIMUM BUT I'M SO EMOTIONAL," said another. "I hope everyone is as decent and as gentlemanly as you."
While some criticised the man for filming the act of kindness and sharing it on TikTok, others appreciated sharing it would inspire others to step in and help those being harassed.
"So many guys assume they have to get confrontational to intervene/help," said another. "They don't. What you did was perfect."
