Man claims he was 'scammed' by McDonald's in viral clip

A McDonald's customer from the US claims he was "scammed" out of a drink at the fast food restaurant.

Jacob, from the US, posted the "scam" he experienced at his local McDonald's to his TikTok page.

"This is crazy. Look at that. Large Coke, right?" he shows his receipt, proving that he ordered a large. He then pulled out his cup, which indeed has a large sticker - except the bottom of the drink is floating above the bottom of the cup.

"Something ain't right. There's some investigating," Jacob said, before turning the cup around to reveal that his drink was actually a medium inside a large cup.

"What is that?" he repeated in confusion.

"With all that ice in that cup you actually have a small coke," quipped one commenter who reacted to his video.

"The extra cup would probably cost more than the saved soda. No scam here," said another.

Some other commenters cleared up the misunderstanding.

"McDonald's employee here. It's two cups that stuck together. not that big of a deal and we don't get paid enough to even care to fix it," one commenter provided.

"Thank you for the insider info, no hate, just was baffling," replied Jacob, "It was more than likely just someone not paying attention when making a drink."
